Open Letter to the GOP – A Wake Up Call

Christmas has just passed by; Barrack Obama, Harry Reid & Nancy Pelosi have managed to overrun us with their Health Care Bill using distraction, extortion, and threats.
On the outlook of the 2010 midterm Election many Republicans pugnaciously give press conferences making statements like: “This issue is not over yet”; “The battle has just begun”; “Not with us” and so forth.
But how creditable are those statements? Are those the usual pre-election “please vote for me” Statements?
If the GOP really believes the 2010 Election is a slam dunk because People are angry with Obama, then the party fails to see the reality. Another Player emerges from behind and the Party does not seem to see it – The INDEPENDENT Conservative.
Where has the GOP been the past years? Has the party actually wasted one moment of time to find out why so many people now call themselves “Christian Reagan Conservatives” rather than Republicans?
The Washington Post calls the GOP “A Party both united and divided” (http://is.gd/5CiqO); and the attached Graphic shows you how (http://is.gd/5CimX).
I have supported every Republican Candidate from Ronald Reagan to George W. Bush to John McCain with all my power; Sent messages out; spread the word and told my friends, compatriots, and family members, and strangers online and on the streets to support the Republican cause.
But the bottom line is that most of the time the feedback was: Why and what for; I don’t really feel represented by the GOP as well, and since I definitely will not vote for the Democrats I would rather not go to the polls at all.
But somebody else has seen the times to come – the INDEPENDENT Conservative and those get stronger and stronger.
Why are they such a threat to the GOP? Well they are not bound by the party line, they don’t need the support of the party and what is most important – they can and do represent the people.
So what is wrong with that picture? I tell you what: Voters, Citizens – therefore the one people the GOP is supposed to represent are frustrated and discouraged.
Citizens want to feel and know that they are represented. Their needs are taken serious, their lifestyle is honored, and their interests are taken care of, but that is not the message the party sends. The party has done the opposite.
Here are some reasons why the GOP keeps losing creditability and voters:
Judeo – Christians
Other than during election time in the past centuries the party has never really taken a Stand for their Primarily Christian Voters nor have they looked out for our Jewish brethren.
And while the Christian conservatives throughout the entire country are the biggest supporters of Israel and the Jews, and all Republican Presidents have supported Israel; the party has failed to make notice of that fact and bring the Jewish community into the conservative cause. In fact, the Party has stood by and watched as the Jewish community supported the Democrats.
Where was the outrage of the GOP when piece by piece our entire Christian moral and ethical heritage has been taken away from us?
Where was the outrage when political Correct Diversity Preachers took away our constitutional rights of free speech and supported Homosexuality and Abortion?
The GOP was nowhere to be found and practiced Political correct Statements to make sure that they might find one or two future voters in the opposite camp – not realizing that with this blindness they lost lifelong Republican voters on a daily base.
Why isn’t the Party raising hell when Obama declares our Nation no longer a Christian Nation, yet every single one of the 50 States have “God” in their declaration?
Where is the party when Muslims keep insulting us, calling for the destruction of our Christian Heritage within the boundaries of our own country using OUR constitutional right of free speech and freedom of the Press to their advantage?
Where is the party when piece by piece our Christian Heritage is taken away from us, (crosses removed from the National Memorial, Ten Commandments removed from Federal Buildings and so forth)?
Nowhere to be found; NO, actually silent, practicing political correct Statements and diversity and betraying their voters – or at least that’s how the people feel it.
The GOP is silent, very silent, and WE THE PEOPLE feel left alone.
Racial Issues
It was the Republican Party that indicated the Civil Rights laws in the 60’s and the democrats opposing, but yet the GOP leaves the Democrats the field. Affirmative Actions, special minority funds for blacks only, and so forth angers Voters, because poor farm kids in the Midwest and all over the country do not get the same advantages that black kids do. And yet it never seems to be enough. As soon as any Black self proclaimed Civil Rights leader uses the word “Racism” as a Weapon for extortion and excuses for everything – The GOP Politicians duck and practice again political correct statements.
Instead of taking a stand and saying: Hey 60 years of special treatment is enough, its time you do what every American of every race needs to do – take care of your business. Instead of taking a stand and saying: Discrimination is wrong; but that goes both ways, the GOP politicians get real quiet and allow blacks everything while whites get nothing, and then wonder why racism in this country still exists – Well you produced it and still produce it.
Instead of taking a stand against Racism and promoting those Black Americans who made it out of their own strength and joining forces with the Black Americans supporting the party, yes, there are more than the GOP thinks, the GOP fails here as well, and leaves the entire field to the Democrats.
People believe the GOP only supports Major Cooperation’s – wrong Message:
People tell you that the Party only represents the Rich and Wealthy. I know this is not true. Bottom line is the GOP fails to bring the message out that this is the party of those who work hard to prosper and not the party of the lazy Ghetto people of all races, who believe that the government should take care of them.
The party fails to get the message out and profit from the hard working Americans by listening to them and honoring them.
Public Relations
Here is the GOP at its worst. While the democrats use every advantage to get their message out, slandering Republicans and Christian Conservatives wherever they can, the GOP is silent. You cannot tell me that in the entire Republican Movement we cannot find a PR Manager performing in supremacy.
Europe
Maybe the GOP should take a closer look at Europe. Look at their counterpart in Europe, the Christ-conservatives. While socialists all over Europe keep losing elections the Christ conservatives seem to be unable to profit from that movement. Yet both established Parties lose voters to independent small and sometimes left or right wing radical parties in both directions.
The result of this phenomenon is a landscape of rainbow parties (European Parties are identified by their color) and a permanent inconsistency in politics.
Conclusion
If the GOP does not want the same phenomenon as in Europe, then it is time for the party to wake up.
It is not important if the Party leaders or the remaining faithful Members know that we are the best choice for the people, the people – the voters need to recognize that and come back. But that will not happen if the party moves on as it has done the past years.
It is not enough to make marrowy speeches after losing a battle, like now after the Health Care disaster, it is not enough to appear at election time and show off.
The people, the voters need, want, and have the right to be heard all the time; they want to be lead and represented and they want to be valued.
One major reason the party lost the last Presidential Election was the permanent turnovers of John McCain; His permanent attempts to please as many as possible forgetting the basis of his consolidated voters. Or in laymen terms: He lost his entire creditability throughout the election.
Allowing Barrack Obama to turn the fight around and instead chasing Obama, with no experience Senator McCain became the bait and gave Obama the field with practically no fight whatsoever.
A very old common quote says: “Nobody can please everybody”
The Party clearly fails to consolidate their voters.
My Advice to the GOP
So it is time for the party leadership to get off its high horse and quit living in a dream land believing people will know anyway. If the Party does not want to keep losing voters the GOP needs to stop making foul compromises, selling out their consolidated voters, and start listening to the basis.
How can you move on and win others for the cause if you keep losing on the others side, your consolidated Voters? Don’t think that the new prospects are not going to see, or at least get the impression that once they have joined they will be left behind as well.
In order to move forward the GOP needs to concrete their basis – no house can be built on quicksand.
But in order to accomplish the strengthening of the GOP the party needs to stop practicing itself in senseless Diversity speeches, neck wrinkling behavior, and political correctness, and really start STANDING UP FOR THEIR PEOPLE and for what is right. Show strength. This is how the party will regain creditability by their voters and show new and future prospective voters that they will always will be represented.
Unlike my friends I will not run away nor will I give up my Republican Membership; I don’t believe in running away – that is cowardliness, but I will keep on supporting young Republican Leaders who are on base, know what we feel, and are willing to represent our interests rather than those old blue collar “Country Club Politicians” running the party right now.
The Democrats will definitely not win the 2010 midterm election, but one thing is for sure – it is questionable if the GOP can enhance profit from this loss of the Democrats.
If the party does not turn around right away – NOW IS THE TIME – the only people profiting from this situation will be the capricious independent. And once the Independents are in the administration, the GOP will be lost. Let’s be honest – when it comes to being foul opportunists the Democrats are way far ahead of us.
2010 is not won just because the Democrats are losing.
I know that none of the GOP leaders will read this because they live in the clouds of their own choice, a glass house, and think they have gained the wisdom of the universe.
The GOP leaders live with the wrong impression – that people will know the truth and value of the party, no matter what, and that all it takes is to make the one or the other marrow statement. And the GOP does not have to do anything.
Well sometimes waking up can be very painful.
And though, I will continue my battle for the CHRISTIAN – Republican – Reagan – conservative Cause, and to defend the Constitution of the United States. I will keep choosing MY proper representatives and support them, judging them by their actions and not words.
And I will pray – pray that this country will prevail with or without the GOP. A new Generation of conservatives has emerged – the time for obedience is over.
It is time to thank the older Generation for their service, honor, valor, and as future advisors, and leave the field to the younger Generation – those who will stand tall for our cause.
May God Bless and protect America – Country that I Love
Sincerely
An Always faithful Christian Reagan Conservative Republican
